Papa Tim’s Apple pie with the Captian (Captian Morgan that is)

Ingredients

Gala apples 6-7 or honey crisp
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp rum extract or 2tbsp Capt. Morgan, not both

3 tbsp flour ,

3/4 tbsp cinnamon ,

1 tsp nutmeg,

less than a 1/4 tsp cloves,

less than cloves, so even less ginger,less than 1/4 tsp

even less cardamom maybe two pinches of cardamom

If you’re a communist, you should use the 1/4 tsp rum extract
Drop of almond extract i.e. Less than 1/4 tsp

Peel em

Can of pears, soup can sized, cut up go in bottom of a bowl, rum and almond go here, save juice from the pears in a different bowl

How-To

Slice up the canned pears into some nice chunkage and let them soak in the Captian Morgan, or 1/4 tsp rum extract for the communist version

Slice the apples up and let them soak in the bowl with the pears, for as long as it takes you to slice up the apples

Take the Sugar, 3 tbsp flour , 3/4 tbsp cinnamon , 1 tsp nutmeg, less than a 1/4 tsp cloves, less than cloves of ginger, even less cardamom maybe two pinches of cardamom and mix it all together with the apples

Note: if you used Capt you might need a little more flour.

Also a pinch of salt goes in the apples, also put a little lemon juice in the apples to keep them from turning brown.

About a 1/4 of the stick of butter goes on top of filling, place apples in evenly using flats to cover bottom, fill it in good, boy

Pillsbury pie crust cheater crust

Wrap the crust edges in tinfoil, unless you like burnt crust.

350 cook 50 minutes

See how it’s coming, if far enough along brush with pear juice, you saved, or milk and put sugar on top put pie bake in oven until done

You know if it far enough along if the juice is going down on the tinfoil or the edges of the crust are almost light brown
